    The DePuy ASR recall settlement was announced in the Northern District of Ohio on November 19, 2013.     According to a report from The New York Times, the settlement could resolve some 8,000 of the 12,000 DePuy ASR lawsuits currently pending against Johnson & Johnson and its DePuy Orthopaedics unit. Those plaintiffs who are not eligible to participate, as well as those who select to opt out, will still be entitled to pursue product liability claims against the companies.*
